"Make Your Own Weather" is a survival guide disguised as a record — seven songs about good times, bad decisions, open water, dumb luck, late nights, and figuring out how to stay optimistic when the forecast says otherwise.

Somewhere between Coastal Americana, swampy roots rock, tropical optimism, and beach bar philosophy, the album features an all-star cast including Doyle Grisham of The Coral Reefer Band and some of New Orleans' finest musicians.

Best enjoyed with the windows down or your feet in the sand and with at least one questionable life choice already behind you.

Yep, I'm still making CDs. And apparently, you're still buying them. I like the way you think!

"Make Your Own Weather" started out as a dream to write a collection of songs I was really proud of and somehow convince some of my musical heroes to play on them. Against all odds, and with a little luck, a lot of help from some ridiculously talented friends, and a healthy disregard for commercial viability, here it is.

It's a little New Orleans, a little coastal Americana, and a whole lot of me. Songs about life, love, good times, bad decisions, and figuring out how to enjoy the ride.

I love the idea of actually owning music. Something you can hold in your hands, stick in your car (assuming your car still has a CD player), or give to a friend. No subscriptions, no algorithms, and nobody deciding what you should listen to next.
