Dings - CD
"Dings" is six songs about adventure, surf travel, second chances, memories — real or imagined — and trying to keep your balance in an increasingly chaotic world. Moving between beach-town escapism and reflective Americana, the album follows highways, coastlines, storms, missed turns, and the people still trying to find meaning and momentum somewhere out past the horizon.
From the restless motion of “Surf Hwy 45” — a song about wanting so badly to disappear down the highway toward somewhere warmer, freer, and unknown — to “My California,” which longs to return home to a place that may never have fully existed in the first place, the album wrestles with the tension between escape and belonging. “Rain Dog” is about gratitude for the good things that come your way, while “Fun Right Now” serves as a reminder that life does not always wait for better timing.
At its core, "Dings" is about resilience: learning when to chase the wave, when to let go of the past, and when to simply enjoy the ride while it lasts. There’s surf adventure, late-night philosophy, weather-eye wisdom, and songs for people who still believe the next road trip might change everything — or at least improve the story later.
Best enjoyed with salt air, worn maps, uncertain plans, and one eye on the horizon.
